busy week!

yes, it has been busy around here, I did get quite a few things listed on esty, so will see what happens on them. and I just finished up two more items today!  I have yet to get pictures since it has been over cast and cloudy again. this rain up here does not seem to want to go away!  but it is supposed to be semi nice tomorrow so I will be out mowing my yard before the next batch of rain comes in.

I did order some new patterns from threadbare primitives again. I am looking foward to getting into something new!

My Fabric bowls

Ok, so today I am going to show you pictures of the Tarpunto fabric bowls that I made, this is a  pattern from Robyn and MotherLoad Toad!

This is the first one that I did. A nice medium blue with lime green splotches through out it. I really like the material, but never could find just the right project for it!  Well, I guess that it makes really nice bowls!  not to find something to display in it!

This is the second one that I did.  I used the same pattern, but altered the assembly just a tad bit to make it easier on me. this one came out a bit better, quite a bit more even on the edges.  This one is a plum purple with gold vines and leaves and stems through out.  I really like how this one turned out!

My Sheep Pin Keeps

These two little sheep are just adorable!  These are made out of batik fabrics also. and the pattern is from "threadbare Primitives"  I think that these really came out cute!  I hope that others think so and would like to take one home with them!

my penguin pin keeps

These are from a pattern from "threadbare primitives"  They really came out cute!  I made these out of batik fabric. not quite the homespun to make them more primitive. but I like them

been to long!

I cant believe that it has been over a month since I posted anything. no excuse really.

I have been busy getting the yard going for the summer, it seems that spring is the busiest time for me here. that and all the rain that we have had this spring has kept me hopping during the dry times!

in between rain showers I have been sewing. I have several new projects all lined up to be posted on to Esty tomorrow, so you really need to go check them out!

but the last 3 day have been busy. I decided that I really need to do some physical  work, so I am in the process of trying to dig and chop out four stumps that are in my yard!  I am so tired of mowing around them. the first one came out really easy, this next one is going and is a bugger! but I will keep at it a bit at a time. boy am I out of shape after a long winter!

so check back tomorrow and you can see what I have been up to the past month!

A new landscape quilt!

yes, I just finished up this landscape today! I really love making these, there is no pattern to them! I just fit the pieces as I am working on them to see what works and what doesn't!  And I love using the batik fabrics in them, it gives them a whole new depth and dimension to them!  So I hope that you like this one as much as I do!

Only thing is, I  have to do something with this camera! it keeps changing the dates on me! I never know what date is going to pop up when I take a picture!

Grange Project step II

yes, I  just got back from my Aunts a bit ago.  she fell in love with the wall hanging that I did for her! so that is one more project out of the way.  it was a bit of a challenge for me to get this done. I am not used to working on such small spaces for my landscapes. but done it is!

Grange Project

This is a project that I have done for my Aunts grange.  She is going to put it in the grange booth at the summer show.  It is supposed to signify the four seasons.

Fall

Winter

Summer, can you see the apples on the tree?

Spring.  I "thread Painted" the leaves with two different colors of pink. hopefully this makes it look the the tree is on blossom!  and can you see the flowers in the grass? and how 'bout that rope swing!

This still needs to be finished, but I have done my part. My Aunt will be writing words in the boarder of this, then she will mount it on a board for display.
